Breakfast at Cili
Cili is the restaurant inside the clubhouse, in the gardens above the lake. Sit-down breakfast for the whole field.
We measure how this page is used so we can make it better, and we link it to your details if you apply. Nothing is sold or shared.
One round at the last championship course on the Boulevard, with the Basis team behind the work.
A placeholder only. Nothing is confirmed until we have spoken and your invite is out.
The field is short and we build the pairings by hand. The last question is the one we actually read.
We read these as they arrive, then reach out to set up a short call. Watch your inbox.
Every request read by hand, pairings built on purpose.
Our engineers and the partnerships lead are in the groups, not working a booth.
Breakfast, caddie, cart, clubs, food and drink.
Everything happens on the property. Bali Hai sits on Las Vegas Boulevard itself, so the drive from the south Strip is a few minutes and the airport is closer than that. Carts the whole way, caddies if you want one.

Warm up, meet your caddie, pick up Callaway rentals if you did not fly with clubs.
Two-player teams inside each foursome, best ball carrying each hole. A first-timer holds nobody up.
Scorecards settled, winners named, and the rest of the evening is yours.
Schmidt-Curley dropped a South Seas course into the desert in 2000: seven acres of water, transplanted palms, white sand, and the Strip standing over the closing holes.
Bali Hai is on Las Vegas Boulevard itself, at the south end, so it is a short ride from anywhere on the Strip and the closest course to the airport. Typical rideshare times:
This is an invite, not a tee sheet. We read every request by hand and we talk to people before the round, so the groups are built out of real conversations rather than a signup list.
Two minutes. The last question is the one that does the work.
By hand, as they arrive. Earlier is better while the field is open.
A short conversation first. You learn who you would spend the day with, we learn what you are working on.
If it is a fit both ways, a confirmation and your pass arrive by email.
Your group, your tee time and where to meet.
Not everyone here tees off, but these are the people behind the round and behind the work. Engineering first, then the partnership side. If you come, you spend the day with some of them.

10 years at Basis, long enough to have heard "it should be simple" roughly 1,000 times. Owns engineering delivery across every account, from scoping through production, and will call 6 weeks or 6 months before you finish the sentence. Competitive bodybuilder on the side, which explains the drive distance and why nobody argues with his estimates.
Runs the teams on cloud migration, DevOps and modernization, and turns a signed scope into something that actually ships. Has opinions about your deployment pipeline. You will hear them around the 7th.
Director of Engineering alongside Justin, running delivery teams on platform and data work. Calm when a release is not, which is most of the reason he has the job. Happy to talk through whatever you are wrestling with.
Started Basis in Los Angeles in 2013 and has run it every day since, which in this industry is about 3 lifetimes. Sets the direction, picks the bets, and has said no to more work than most firms say yes to. Ask him about golf and he will somehow be describing his tennis backhand by the 3rd hole.
That is the line on our wall and it is the reason this round exists. We would rather spend a day with someone and find out whether there is a fit than send another cold email.
